Africa Internet and Technology Initiative (AITI)

Teach Java to students in three different African countries during the summer.

Black Students Union (BSU)

The BSU provides support for all students and promotes social interaction between students, faculty and alumni in the black community at MIT. It is also an umbrella group for all black students group on campus, including the MIT African Students Association.

Development Lab (D-Lab)

D-Lab are a group of MIT classes that provide students with an opportunity to design a project that would tackle a problem in a developing country and travel to that country to implement it in one of its communities.

Expediting Access to Standard Education (EASE)

EASE is a student group primary aim of making basic education more accessible to underprivileged children in Africa that would otherwise be denied basic education due to poverty.

Global Poverty Initiative (GPI)

GPI's aim is to stir up members of the MIT community to take action and make an impact against poverty around the world.

International Students Association (ISA)

ISA brings together the greatly diverse international community at MIT and supports international causes on campus.

International Students Office (ISO)

The ISO provides support for international students and helps them integrate to the general MIT community.

MIT Sloan Africa Business Club (ABC)

SABC is an all-inclusive organization fostering relations between the MIT Sloan community with the African business and cultural communities.

Public Services Center (PSC)

The PSC provides support to all members of the MIT community that desire to make an impact in a community anywhere in the world.

Museke

Museke is the "home of the African music fan." It allows you browse songs and music videos by artists, genre and country often with lyrics. It interviews and profiles African musicians and music groups based in and outside Africa. And you can find an African playlist for any event that you have in mind.

Tru Spot!

"Tru Spot! is a social music platform designed to support African artists, fans and local music." It allows you to listen to a wide variety of music from around the continent, including the latest and the hottest.

notjustOk

For loves of Naija (Nigerian) music, notjustOk is a site that must be visited. It manages to stay up-to-date with the Nigerian music scene and follows not only recognized and established stars, but rising ones throughout all regions and cultures of the country. The music genre R&B, Hip-hop, Rap, Religious and more. It is also a great place to come across the latest released music videos.

Nigerianhiphop.net is a crisp, well laid-out site featuring samples, tracks and videos from Naija hip-hop, rap, R&B artists and other types of content, such as album reviews. It also has an extensive playlist of song samples and full tracks to listen and enjoy.
